Santa Cruz is a cesspool.
On the walk from the bus to my car I saw:
1 dead homeless man.
2 guys breaking into a VW van
3 junkies sitting on a bench nodding
In like two blocks. Bleh.
When I was in Basel, there was one homeless guy that I saw in the 3 months I was there. I saw him a couple times, sometimes he had his dog with him sometimes not. But he was the only one.
Either there's a serious problem in our society or the magical mystical powers of weirdness are especially strong here in SCruz.
