Saw Willy Wonka today, twas pretty damn good.
I think they didn't spend enough time on the characters, the kids didn't seem as fleshed out as they should have. Like, I know the kids are little shits, cause I've read the book, seen the first version, but they just didn't spend any time making this kids unlikeable here. Which was kinda sad, cause they cast the movie very well...
I kinda feel like they could have made the movie a bit longer and spent more time fleshing everyone out.
Don't get me wrong, the movie rocked, and it was for sure one of the funnest movies I've seen in awhile.
Johnny Depp rules in every role he plays, His Willy Wonka is like his Ed Wood... Strung out on Crack, E, and acid.
Plus it's delightfully creepy, The Oopma Loompas I've heard people bitching about, but I liked em, they fit well, while some of the songs were a bit.... Yeah... It was all fun.
Don't take the Movie Seriously and you'll have a blast...
It's like a horror movie for little kids basicly...
