Well that job I thought I had turned out to be an accident waiting to happen from a company with sketchy business practices. Picked up first client with trainer at 7 am ran solid all day until 4 pm with no breaks. According to the method they use to calculate the time we were to be paid only for 7 hours of work. Spoke to the hiring manager and he said thats how they calculate hours worked and not worry. Just get out hustle and show him something and be a team player.
Then I go to get in the vehicle they provide for me and the ignition is been busted out and ghetto replaced as it pull out of the column, the airbag light is flashing like crazy and the car smells of antifreeze when i turned on the defroster trying to clear the fogged windshield. I called the hiring manager back and said this is not the job for me and sorry for wasting his time.
I had one of those moments of almost pure fear when seeing the airbag light like that and then the manager saying its just a light no big deal. I am really disappointed but I have always listened to that little voice of intuition when it comes to safety and it has saved me several times in the past. Trying to be positive and look for something that is a positive fit for me.
