I just finished A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. Fantastic, especially since my mother in law sent it to me because she really enjoyed it. I guess she's more interesting than previously suspected.
The book is about a guy going through rehab for crack and booze. Addicts facinate me, I suppose because I am a few lucky breaks from being one. Also, the few addicts I've met who have gone through treatment and cleaned themselves up always seem like really cool people. I guess that admitting to yourself and others all the shitty things you've ever done as part of treatment gets you above a lot of the bullshit the rest of us slog through. The addicts I've know have always been really open, honest, and unashamed about their lives.
Now for some self promotion:
Check out this site.
And then come to my third anniversary party on the 22nd.
I know the girls will be performing that night, but I'm not too far from downtown, and the party will probably still be going after bar time. You can check out the flyer in my pics section.
