This has been an interesting week - Hand burning - OW! But it's better now....I was in a daze for a short time because of it.....Saw a weird electonic artist from Germany who also played a flying - V guitar while the beats were heavy - Sounded like a one man KMFDM meets hard minimal trance...Took a dump just like Vimian and went to the new dollar store to pick up some oven mitts with fruits on them!
I had fundamentals of baking tonight, and I really screwed up our tart shells. Our group ended up having to remake them because of me, and we gotbehind which kept the whole class after...
less tired now? Was it the happy accomplished kind of tired? (I hope.)
DJ was spinning some thumpin' house, but he's quite good. Lots of mixing to keep the beats fresh with the occasional samples for flavor. It got my booty shaking for a couple of hours. And I got to dance with Sassy E! I haven't seen her in months. Yay! We kick serious ass on the dance floor.
All these wonderful connections are starting to come alive for me. Good things are stirring under the surface. It's only a matter of time before stari breaks free with some radiant glory and strong sure wings.
Happy Vernal Equinox to you! Sending some spring green oregon hugs to my city dwelling Groovie . . . squishtastically delicious. Teehee!

i was feeling so desperate for it- but through divine intervention i was spared the black poison i crave so.

Dude! I am SO down that I can't get any lower. Sweet!
I love the Lucky Cat Lounge! I'm a huge maneki neko fan. Teehee! That's just too cool!!
My boy and I practice the more mellow and chill varient of mass transit surfing on the local Tri-met, so I have some practice, and I really feel that my all-too brief study of Tai Chi helps immensly. Once you are in the 60/40 stance, you are solid!
In my life so far, I have yet to be even the tinest bit close to NYC. I have crossed the Mississippi River only twice. You totally made it come to life. I almost feel like we did get to spend a day hanging in the City. Thanks for the vitual guide trip. (i love posts that leave me grinning like an idiot) Teehee!
a few short facts before i go to bed. (perhaps a couple of thoughts too- we'll see.)
- i have the best landlord in the word. he's a gentleman of the oldschool kind- i like that a lot.
- i feel sad about bands who do not use bass in their combo. granted- drums are the most exciting and guitar is necessary for RnR's cliches,... Read More
Giggles, giggles and teehee! 80s big budget flicks are soooo cheezy-good! (The cheese is all in the prespective, baby!) I'll get my spoon.
Tell me more of this tour . . . (I just got a book about how writing can be used to discover and give form to our innermost desires, and that through the process of writing, one can manifest these desires. Might be cool? Might be eh?) I totally dig the concept, so I completely get the seriousness about writing things down.
health is always a good thing, but i also think its okay to acknowledge when you have yukky times, too. i know how it feels to be frustrated by non-responsive friends. i didn't know that men also ditched their friends for their new amour - interesting, but not acceptable. hopefully best friend will soon come to his senses and act like a proper friend.
i understand the impulse to avoid complaining, though. even in down times i realize how completely lucky and privleged i am, which is good in that its perspective building, but its not good when i don't honor where i am emotionally. sometimes its the ick times that we need to prompt breakthroughs, you know?
ok, not to get all new agey or something ...
and yes, i teach -- university students in a communications department. i am also a graduate students. its a good life.
