The birfday has come and gone. I'm still alive, although barely. I'd like to thank the SGPhilly folx that made it out to my little shindig that almost wasnt...y'all made growing another year older that much more fun. Who says Beer and Ice Cream Cake dont mix? I'd also seriously like to thank all those that took to time to drop me the well-wishes as well. Very cool indeed. Here's a little bit o' Motorhead to bring out the joy in me after a fucking kick ass weekend....
City Kids
Nobody knows,
I know nobody cares what goes on in here,
We have this door,
Nobody gets in until I'm really sure,
Don't creep up behind me,
You know where to find me I'm always around,
Turns out if you need us, before you lead us astray
Don't care who we meet,
We're orphans here on Easy Street and we feel real mean,
Cruising on speed,
We've got more than we'll ever need, ain't life sweet?
We won't turn your pay down,
City Kids don't lay down, we don't call so,
Better get some more of that,
City Kids we don't give that to you, oh no
Bombs go off at night,
Searing heat, blinding light, you like it fine,
Park the car and run,
Dance all night, it was for fun, we're nasty, hahahaha!
Why do we do it,
No-one can get through it we know where to run,
You hear what we're saying,
Time that you were praying 'cos,
City Kids time, won't be long,
Won't be long, no it won't be long!
It's not the intent...its just the feeling Motorhead gives ya when you play it really fucking loud. Anyway, a great weekend has come and gone. The Keg of Yard ESA blew through rather quickly, as did the case of PBR and Flying Fish. I tried to get the partyers to partake in the whiskey, but was turned down by most. Cigar smoking was acceptable, though. As was the Carvel Ice Cream cake. Thanks to
Aponia for the WAY cool hat. Green kicks ass, by the way. In the end, it was just a great time to share the marking of age with friends, food, and booze. If you didnt make it this year, your loss.
On to a week of sitting around with my thumb up my ass. I'm off all week, and dont have many plans. If any of you that read this happen to be bored, drop me a line...we'll do something.
In the Music Box these past few days:
1.) Guitar Wolf
2.) Motorhead - Best Of
3.) Mudhoney - Superfuzz Bigmuff
4.) Hot Snakes - Suicide Invoice
5.) Mad Season - Above

I've barely scratched the surface there, even though I've read all that Frank Herbert ever wrote. It's on the todo list (I love a long and overwhelming list of things to read).
Yeah, croaking at 27 is not cool. He had a wife and a 1-year old baby too. I mean, he was taking an undue chance by being crazy on an ATV, he certainly was crazy, but still...
thanks.
see ya soon (but not tonight?)
