OK...I've been busy as shit, or so it seems. Work has been non-stop (not a bad thing, actually) making the week go by fast. On my last few days off, I've spent it cleaning house, listening to music, and taking care of my Mother's two houses. I also made a side trip yesterday to get my hair cut and visit my Grandparents' gravesite.
I know, I know...I'm boring you with my inane and self-absorbed ramblings. So, onto more interesting things...about music, no less. In my current rotation has been alot of new music I picked up over at SxSW this year. Currently, Gearhead Records has taken to the forefront of my listening choices. Currently, I've got three of their bands in CD/MP3/Record player constantly. The Riverboat Gamblers, The Black Furies, and The Million Dollar Marxists. All really great Punk'nRoll that gets the booty moving.
I've also just placed a big order from Acetate Records in LA, Sonic Swirl Records in Cleveland, and our own Philly Based label, Steel Cage Records. Some really great music coming out of these smaller labels. Im diggin on it.
I've also just received my copy of the new Twilight Singers album, Powder Burn. It's a special signed copy by the mojo master of disaster himself, Gregg Dulli. It's fucking AWESOME so far, and I'm only 4 songs in. Cant wait for the TLA gig in a few weeks. It should be a winner.
