Happy Goddamn New Years, folx. May this next year be better than last...oh PLEASE GOD LET IT BE BETTER.
Anyway, just got back from my first snowboard trip of the year. Hit up Jack Frost in the Poconos to test out my new stick and boots. It's really funny how much of a pussy you can be on your first run. I got over it though, and had a decent day of 'boarding. My ass feels like it was pounded by a 300 pound Silverback Gorilla, but that what I get for buying a stiffer board and boot combo. It's better for rough/icy terrain, but you definitely have to get used to it or lose an edge. Actually, more of catching an edge indefinitly.
As for the mountain and snow, it wasnt really that bad for so early in the season. Lots of people in the lodge, but only about half as many on the slopes. That was nice, I tells ya. Even nicer was the fact that I have access to a house up in the mountains, so I dont have to come running home after a day of shredding. Now if I can just find a snowbunny to share the warmth of the fireplace with...WOOT!!
OK...one last thing before I take off...anyone reading this today 12/31/05 can drop me a line if they've got nothing to do for NYE tonight. Ill be having a few people over to hang....
