Ok. new post in order to clear out the sad post I am tired of seeing.
So what to write about? I will copy what appears to be the theme this week and talk about Valentines Day.
My wife and I are not super keen on it, but we generally acknowledge its presence. Normally we have 'fake-valentines' the weekend after, and go to a nice dinner or the like. This year we ended up having a date-heavy weekend, which was honestly coincidental to the holiday, but it was fun.
Friday after work we drove up and hung out at Disneyland. My wife is obsessed with the Haunted Mansion ride, and for like half the year they change it to "Nightmare Before Christmas" which is fine, but its not the same ride, and why gild the lily? Anyway its back up and running in "classic" mode so I took her there to ride it. We did that and Pirates of the Carribean and the Jungle Boat, and watched the water "Fantasmic" show (which is good, but makes you wonder what they'd think of us if they dug up disneyland in 1000 years).
Saturday, we went and had a picnic at a local park. It's mostly a sports park and there was four fields of girls softball going on. Which was cute as it ranged from like 8year olds just having fun, to 16 year olds clearly getting ready to make varsity next spring. We had a bottle of some sort of white wine and sandwiches and cheese. I was surprised you're allowed booze in the park, but I checked first.
Later, after a short trip to the beach, we went to our local Irish-type pub. It's sort of our default place to go, and the staff loves us since we are nice and tip well. Had a good time there, there was an older man who was clearly lonely and a little needy, but afterwords I felt good about indulging him in idle chit chat for a bit. We also had fun eavesdropping on some drunk party girls, and talking to a recent immigrant from Ireland who was applying for a job there.
Sunday was nice, though I slept forever. Largely the morning was my wife and me lounging around in bed. Later we went back tot he pub (again the default) in part as we had had such a pleasant evening before.
Monday, actual V-day, we both worked. I mad my lemon-pepper chicken and greek salad, which we had with some wine, and watched Star Trek on dvd. It was good times.
And yes we banged a lot too.

I don't know about that. I have applied to jobs before without having a vehicle and the woman complained that I had "wasted her time" since i didn't have reliable transportation so I don't bother applying and I did have reliable transportation... its called the bus and public transit... millions of ppl use it everyday because they can't afford a car.
