today was full of pretty people and my ex boyfriend was one. his birthday is the same as my mom's half birthday and i met him at said bar and played with said dreads and wished that i could love him like i used to or at least enough to play happily ever after with him. everybody wants him. and i play ex-girlfriend all the time because i guess i am and because i guess i broke up with him but when he smiles all happy and innocent i forget that part and i hug him anyway whether that's appropriate or not.
