@gretelcore - I did see that in your profile. I went looking for another photo but it looks like the Viking Group, where I'd posted it, has been eliminated. My maternal grandfather was Swedish/Finn so I try to honor what was old traditions. Cable spools are a good "Viking" round shield start. What is your Viking connection?

My husband has Irish, Spanish/Basque, and Italian/Swiss-Sicilian ancestors, among others; I have Italian, French/Belgian, Basque/Galician and Lebanese ancestors. Years ago, we were in a Viking clan of medieval re-enactors playing the role of the Isle of Man`s Vikings. We have more connection with Normander blood.
