Ok so, to catch everyone up on what has been going on lately.
Wednesday August 13th. I flew out of Sacramento into Houston and finally arriving in Chicago. I packed what i could and sent it off UPS to my new home on the East Coast earlier in the week so i wouldnt have to worry about it. But anyways, so i arrive in Chicago and head for the train that will take me to Downtown Chicago in hopes i can catch a different train into Kenosha to visit my Tues. Somewhere on that first train, i feel a sharp pain in my eye and begin to rub it. This forces my contact out of my eye. Not sure what to do..i put said contact in my mouth to keep it from drying out since i dont have spares. As i put the contact in my mouth i feel it is in two pieces
. I then have to half blindly navigate Chicago the 6 or so blocks to the next train station not to mention navigate the station. It was not an experience i want to do again soon. but i made it. Off to Kenosha...YAY!!!!!!!!!
After a lil nap...i wake up and see MY TUES!! It was prolly one of the best sites my good eye could have had.
Thursday August 14th Found an eye DR and managed to get a new pair of lenses I CAN SEE!!!!!!!!!!! also went and had an amazing dinner my MY TUES!!! and saw some old friends. Such a good night.
Friday August 15th The plan was to surprise the friends going to the SGCHAT CAmping trip in IOWA. First tho i had to surprise my buddy Pope who was driving Tues and i there. He shows up, hugs happend, joy was had, life was good. we load up the car and head off to Iowa for a nice relaxing weekend. However....about 30 minutes from Iowa and still in Illinois fate stepped in. You see, Pope and I were rocking out to a lil livin on a prayer by Bon Jovi when, all of a sudden the line of cars in front of us stops. I barely had enough time as i looked up from my drum solo to see the tail lights and yell OH BRAKES!! . We ending up plowing the end of the car in front of us, air bags deployed, car destroyed but, all we safe. Sore as fuck but safe. I ended up bruising ribs, getting some whiplash and my back is pretty jacked but, it could have been much worse. Tues and Pope were also pretty sore and shook up. but luckily the Clop that answered the call dropped us off at the local bar so we could medicate till our ride showed up. Needless to say...we never made the camping trip.
Saturday August 16th Spent time with my Tues and her family and just kinda rested. its hard to move at this point and we both are hurting but i loved being around her. She keeps me sane most of the time.
Sunday August 17th It was time to say goodbye to my Tues, i didnt want to but i had another journey yet to take. I hop on the Train back to Chicago and head for Amtrak, where my next journey begins. Board the train and im off to the East Coast. The train ride is 22 hours long and kinda painful with bruised ribs and whiplash but i make the most of it and enjoyed seeing the country side. I tried to get some sleep but, it was hard dude to the fact that a 9 yr old kid with incredible snoring powers was in the chair next to me. Go though many states ...Iillinois, Ohio, Maryland, PA DC Delaware, Maryland , PA again...before arriving at my destination...Philly!!!!
Monday August 18th I finally arrived in Philly and was met by 3 beautiful friends, Hugs were had, more trains were taken and promises to meet up again soon. It was lovely. I was TIRED!!
Tuesday August 19th to NOW Its my first week in PA and well, im still trying to land a job. im going to hit it hard next week and hope that something comes of it cuz...well...im pretty much completely out of money and soon my phone will be shut off, That and the fact of not having a car would make the hopes of landing a job that much harder... so wish me luck on my new journey. Oh and i dont technically live in Philly but i absolutely love that city and the people i know in it!. I live up north of Philly in a quiet lil town with an awesome roomate, who is and amazing cook and a dear friend. She even lets me fart in her room.
ok you are now caught up...wish me luck on the job hunt..looks like im still gonna need it.
