Halloween is always good to me. Not only did I get to see the Pietasters and Murphy's law, but I also went to great party where I snuggled with one Ms. Cute Katie.
The show was great though, Murphy's Law was fucking awesome. Not only did they play some of their best songs, they also covered Monster Mash. I have never heard it played that fast. Plus they were wearing alcohol bottle costumes.
Pietasters were damn good too. I had never seen them before. I just wish the better sound guy had been working that night. I Know they gotta sound better live.
Speaking of live I also saw Social D and Tiger Army this weekend. This was my first time seeing both bands. One of the best shows I have ever been to.
Social D opened with Ring of Fire, and I must say that made for a good opener. It's a song everyone knows and just a good way to hit the ground running. They went from their into reach for the sky. Which ended up being one of five songs they did off the new album.
The sound guy did a great job, you could hear everyone great and no one member was overwhelming another. The band was incredibly tight as well too. Just some solid playing from every member. Social D deffinately lived up to the hype I heard about their live set.
All in all it was a great weekend. To bad i missed my first class today. Oh well, we all get to be irresponsible some days.
