I work in a gold mine here in Western Australia. Last week when I was out on my week off I was enjoying hot sunny days but it started to rain at work. The night before I was due to fly back it rained enough that our flight was canned because the roads were impassible, nothing unusual there. The thing is that it kept on raining and a stop bank gave way and now we have water in the pit over 40 meters deep. Bitch thing is now our jobs are all on hold till they work out what to do, that may be two weeks or two months. Even more of a bitch is that I have overseas trips booked and paid for in the next four months. Might just be some rearranging to be done. At least I can still laugh. I could have worse problems huh.
