I don't believe in waiting an arbitrary amount of time before calling someone for a date. The argument is that you "don't want to seem too eager". I get the sentiment but the truth is, she already knows I'm eager. Of that, there's no doubt in my mind. And, really, what is "too" eager? I understand why some people choose to abide by the three day rule but I choose not to. What can I say? I'm a rebel, I guess. My point is- I called her tonight (it's only been two days). We had a lovely little conversation. I smiled. And I heard the smile in her pretty voice. We will meet at a small coffee shop near campus tomorrow evening and then perhaps head to a nearby bar afterward. Depending on how things go, of course. It's been a rather long time since I've been on a first date... but I have a very good feeling about this one. I feel like I should be nervous, but I'm not.
In the meantime, The Smashing Pumpkins, Kickstart and Camel Wides are all I need in life. And, of course, you awesome people. I hope your respective times of the day are going great! <3
