So, it's been abit since I did a blog and the always lovely Megz has been on my tail about doing one. So here it goes:
Things at work have been alittle chaotic lately. Alot of fixing, reworking, finding things, and putting out fires. When I took over as the lead, I wasn't expecting to have to deal with this amount of issues. Don't get me wrong, I love that I'm now in charge of the animation on the project, and I will do all I can to inject some life into the thing. We just could use afew more people on the staff to get this game done. Which leads me to my next topic.
Monday I leave for Florida and Full Sail. I'm going down with Activision to try and recruit some talented people for our company. I love trips like this, because I get to really get in depth with the students on what it takes to get into our industry and what it is exactly that we are looking for. A week from Tuesday, I'll be going to Austin,TX and the Austin Game Developers Conference. Again, another recruiting trip. Although this time, I'll get the chance to take afew courses on game writing and afew other things. I'm excited about that as well.
We went out last night for some dinner and drinks with friends. Ended up being close to 16 people at one point. It was a great time with alot of joking and drinking. Something that we need to do more of. We go out every so often, but usually it's just me...or it's just megz and her friends. Not a big group together.
Well I believe that's it from me. I have a couple of personal animations I want to work on. I need to get designing my wrestling mascot for my website. I'm going to be moving from www.anim8edgrayscale.com to www.animationluchador.com . Should be alot of fun and it will force me to get some more stuff done. The other project is actually a short cinematic/trailer for a game idea that I had. As it progresses, I'll throw up the character concepts, models and other little tidbits I can.
Everyone be safe, and be nice to my lovely Megz while I'm gone.
