The wonderful @annalovett has tagged me and asked these deep, revealing questions so its about time that I got around to answering her. I don't do this enough, really. Scorpios don't usually enjoy answering anything about themselves, especially such personal queries, but I shall endeavor to be truthful and open.
1. What would you do if you knew you could not fail? - I would absolutely find a way to live forever. I have a deep, gripping fear of Death and the oblivion that follows. Even thought I've made peace with moving on (mostly) when my time here is done, I still get that terrified shiver down my spine when I look into the abyss and see nothing staring back at me.
2. How are you REALLY? - I'm mostly fine. Better than I have been in years, actually. At my core I am still me and comfortable with that truth, but I find times when I miss the way things were. Seeing my cubs every day, spending time with friends, being able to do spontaneous things without considering health & welfare. All of these things are treasures which have become tarnished and the things of memory. I pray for their return in the near future, for all our sakes.
3. How would you behave if you were the best in the world at what you do? - I am positive I would hide that as much as possible. Sadly, I'm not comfortable with the attention it would bring and while I, at least part of me, might revel in it for brief moments I understand that over any length of time I would grow to hate it.
4. Why are you worth knowing? - I'm not sure I am, to be honest. There are very few opinions I deem worthy in this world and those are the scant few I keep within my strong embrace. Outside of those few luminous souls, I do not think that I need be impactful on others lives. The ripples I sometimes spread, at least in my mind, can cause changes that I am not always sure are for the best.
5. When was the last time you did something for the first time? - This happens to me very frequently, actually. The core industry I am in has not changed for over 20 years but this facet of it is new and fresh to me. We do interesting things here and something unexpected or different arises at least once a week. Sadly I need to be vague because of NDAs and other binding paperwork, but I find myself enjoying this new career path on levels unforseen.
6. How do you treat people who can do nothing for you? - As kindly as I can. Unfortunately, I fall prey to my emotions too easily and say, or do, things in the moment or without thought that I shouldn't. I do my best to rectify these scenarios but do not always have the opportunity. I always remind my cubs, "If you do not want it done to you, do not do it to others". Words to live by.
7. What or who lights you up? - My cubs. Without a doubt! They are the reason I try to be a better person and think before doing much more now. When they were born over nine years ago I felt blessed beyond all comprehension and knew they were the reason I walked this world right now. Every minute I get with them is a wonder and joy I shall cherish eternally.
Hopefully those of you that read this enjoyed it. I must say that it was easier than I expected. I would like to say thank you to @annalovett for tagging me and being one of the people I enjoy in this community. I shall tag a few others to see what they have to say but don't feel obliged to answer. Have a wonderful day you lovely folks!
