Band update, kids!
We have a band name, a song recorded, a video but STILL NOT A GODDAMN MUTHERFUCKING DRUMMER THAT CAN SHOW HIS ASS UP AND FUCKING PLAY THE SHIT!!!!!!!
I have my friend Brian temporarily filling in on the drums for the recording and the video in of itself. Corey, our bass player might take over drums cause we might have better look getting another bass player. For the band name you ask, why our name is Nidstang. For the video, it will be shot by the ZP crew, who I work camera on several occasions. Once we are done filming scenes for our upcoming, Monstrosity, we're going to use one of the sets for the video. Or course the song we are doing will be on the soundtrack.
As to the meaning of the name, Nidstang is an ancient Norse curse in which a severed horse's head is placed on a pole facing the one to be cursed. The name had a good black metal feel to it but doesn't lock itself to any genre either, as we tend to be open to other forms of metal.
That's not all as I might be playing for a second band. A singer is trying to get a power metal band together. Of course, being a power metal fan that I am, I quickly got to talking to him. It would be quit the juggle but I can handle it as well. Not all common to be in one band even while still holding the 9-5. Nidstang practices in middle of the week and the singer of Band X has plenty of free time so we should manage well.
