close to a month, I should get back to some more blogging. So how's my musical situation. Well I've gotten into contact with a vocalist and a drummer as well. It's pretty tricky how neither of us have met each other, all my past bands I new everyone before becoming a band. Still, I have plenty of confidence having played the band game for several years now.
As for the music, I actually have a decent amount of material. I should actually thank my former band mates in Nightshade. The anger and sadness of the surrounding my departure(we're still on good terms, well most of them) ended up making me write and actual epic. I've written a rough draft of lyrics and recorded the guitar riffs onto my hard drive. The lyrics deal with the concept of being betrayed by your so called friends and left for dead but surviving through the desire for those who did you in. While I'm not as bitter yet, the song helped me and I don't feel as angry at them as I did initially.
So far I like, and hope once things get going, the rest of the new band will like it as well. Right now, one of the first songs we need to do is a good brutal song, dealing with the ever so subject of murder. Why? So we can have a song on the movie I'm working on which is your typical grindhouse slasher film. Anyway, it's late and I'm going to bed.
