Well done with my testing and back at work now. Last week while in Colorado, I had a great time reliving my drunken debauchery times. Strip clubs and way too much booze. It was fun and helped get the stress about this stress test off my mind. My day started at 5am getting ready to go to the doctor. No caffeine for 36 hours and no food for about 13 hours. During the hour and a half drive, I dozed off about 6 times, 3 of which almost resulted in head on collisions. Well I made it there and got prepped with an IV stint and then injected with the radioactive tracer. That shit was cold and I could feel it going up my arm. Then it was off to wait for 20 minutes. At that point I finally got some water. Then it was 15 minutes of getting pictures of my heart taken. Then the worst part, the actual test. They shaved parts of my chest so no it looks like I have an arrow pointing to my stomach. Then it was on the treadmill with all the wires connected. It took me over 13 minutes to hit the target heart rate. My legs felt like rubber, my lungs were burning and I couldn't catch my breath. The doc looked at the data and said I tested well but we would have to wait for the pictures. While I was running another injection of the tracer. After that it was back to the waiting room and then another 15 minutes of pictures of my heart. So then it was of to a gas station for a liter of Coke and a snack. The drive home was much better than the drive there. So I came into work for a bit to catch up some stuff. I am run down but all in all ok. So now it is devising a work out plan and a diet plan to shed off 50 pounds. Perhaps a young mistress to keep me running would help me burn some extra calories. Any volunteers? Just joking. Well everybody have as good of day as possible and I'll try and catch ya on the flipside.
