HI all!
I have decided that I needed to have a name change! Why? Really no reason. It is a name that is totally fits what I do in my free time so I figured why not! What do you guys think??
Since I was home we went out "hunting" and found some great pieces.
This was a hidden treasure! It was tucked away in this old warehouse. It's a multi-media piece....
My roommate captured some classic pieces from the old warehouse that we found. I will post some of those later....of course my camera died in the middle of us shooting! But we were also being chase by the rain so not too mant pictures were to be had!
As many of you know that the city is still try to recover from the torando that hit us about 2 months ago. Here is a photo update on the Cotton Mill Lofts that had collapsed onto its self. Since it is a historal building the city and the builders are trying to save as much of the building as possible.
One of the main ways to get into Cabbage Town and East Atlanta has been closed since the storms. Here is the huge cran that they have been using to lift the floors off each other and to add support beams.
Steel support rods are all around the building walls untill they can restore all of the interal beams.
Here you can see where the torando ripped off a huge chunk of the 4th floor. The 5th floor only had 4 apartments but it was totally removed from the structure as the roof was ripped off.
The other corner that the 5th floor smashed into. This was where the most of the building bricks were located and started the collapsing of the floors.
After the torando hit down town you can see the clear path it had towrd the Cotton Mill. It was just a straight shot. You can still see the the not all of the windows have been replaced in the Westen Hotel ( the round building )
There are still many houses that still have not been repair but in all no one was seriously hurt durning all of this. It amazes my the power of nature.....
I hope everyone has a good weekend!
