I call it a skip day!!!
Today I called out of just because!!! Okay..okay...I told my boss I was sick but really I just wanted to stay home and do stuff around the house. I plan to move some furnature around and do some laundry - not the typicial skip day activites. Its really a makeup day since I felt crappy all weekend and didn't get what I wanted done.
In other news...I just recently made a page on FaceBook. Not because I wanted be one of the cool kids but actually keep better in-touch with my 15 yr old son Wesley. He the one that lives with my ex-wife. I think I like FaceBook a little better than MySpace ( which I am on to keep track of everyone when I am out of town ). In doing my profile and stuff I found one of my childhood friends. It was very weird to see some one I knew as a child as an adult. Her grandparents lived across the street and her family was their all of the time. Just like all true southern families the grandchildren were always at the grandparents. Since she was the same age we went to school together and I knew her sisters. Just seeing her picture brought back this flash flood of memories. Its strange how you store things way in your mind to the point that I thought that I lost those memroies and a simple picture brought everything forward.
Strange but good....
Hope you all have a great day!!
Ps.....wish me luck!! I threw my name in the hat to become to Roller Derby Group Leader. ( our last leader is no longer active ) and you guys know how much I love Roller Derby!! If you don't know wait till our Atlanta season starts in March.....madness I tell you ...madness!!!
