ya know...I wonder why I keep my membership going...
I think it's perhaps because of the existance of the SGMC group...I love to read about everyones trip and tribulations on their bikes...
Just got home from a whirlwind trip to STURGIS... much fun was had, a few close calls on the drive there...including the trailer doing a fishtail and causing my truck to literally HOP down a steep grade...
scary!!
I'm still feeling a bit road weary. I guess I just have to admit to my weekend warrior status as far as bikes go.
We trailered.
hey, razz me if you must, When we left I was riding a custom sportster...not really a long ride worthy bike. Besides...I'm of a "certain age" where comfort is important. We trailered with our toybox...so our living quarters housed our bikes and even then... the long drive took it out of me.
I will say this... my helmet is off to those warriors who ride their bikes all the way to Sturgis, camp in tents during 103 temps and live to make the ride home without falling asleep on their bikes.
I admit it. I'm a wuss. BUT, damn...it was nice to come back to camp, and sleep in a/c. and have my own comode, my own stove and eat tasty, prepared by me food in the evenings.
raz me all you want... I'm a tough girl...I can take it.
here are some pics of our trip...just a few so as not to bore you.
our new bikes...courtesy of a raffle for his/hers... they match nicely don't they?
