ah yes.... the SG burlesque show....
Thursday night... at the VERY LAST minute...we decide to go to the show...my pals meet at my house at 6:30 and we finish getting ready and leave my house at 7:10
okay, I'll start off bu saying I had two loverly dates..Niamhand my pal from bellydancing K, (not really my "dates" since K is straight and Niamh is my surrogate daughter)but it sounds good don't it?
lemme set up a good visual for you...:
3 curvy redheads....all dressed up in funky outfits, drivng in to see some other pals...Caddi and Scootmikeywe get to the knitting factory just as the doors opened.... we came in...mingled, managed to find the potty and the bar for some refreshments....$4.00 waters with tip....$7.00 cocktails...
and we wait...breathlessly for the show to begin......
9 pm..comes and goes...a nice fellow with a nice voice gets up and plays some music...acoustic....good voice, but sorta quiet considering the boisterous crowd...
10 pm comes...and goes...I am introduced to three, very nice gentleman...not member ofr SG..yet...but I changed that quite quckly as I find out one of them used to be the drummer for a local band I was quite fond of..Knockout... he decides to get a membership..(looks around to find my army points...)11pm comes and a band with a cute lead singer gets up and plays....again, good band....but we are eager to see the show start...
11:30 comes and we've been chatting and meeting different people...but of us three girls... I was up at 4:30.... K and Niamh were both up at 6ish and we are beginning to get REALLY tired....my eyes feel like they are bleeding and we know we have an hour drive home...
So we gave up and left...
boohoo... $16.00 dollar tickets and we have yet to see the burlesque show....
indeed...the lameness prevails..
on a good note...Cakemix...Mikey introduced me to your little one....she's quite lovely in person...I dicovered the origin of your username....very creative missMix....and we did have fun whilst we were there...
will be going to the Ren faire tomorrow....

Anyways, I'm a LONG way from having kids, but if and when I do, I want to be a good parent.
