ah yes. work has yet again foiled one plan, while subsequently providing me with another different, yet equally desirable alternative.

Because of the weekend heavy schedule, I will NOT be going out to my beloved desert on Friday morning to ride dirtbikes with the family and friends.

I will be going out with my girls to long beach. either ripples or executive suites...unless they get...

Now I'm convinced. I'm a true beleiver. All my life I've used my horoscope to give me a small picture...an idea of the potential to come.

but now...well, I know they have substance.

The people who write out the horoscopes...they KNOW my secret.

just see for yourself.

Seattle was totally dead on Super-Sunday, so I took advantage for a ride. Believe it or not, it was actually sunny out.

I retroactively check my horoscope, that way I don't ruin the surprise.

I've worked for Outer Limits for the past 2 years but the added feature let me put it just under my photo.

I'm giddy. it's silly, because technically, theres not a thing to be giddy about.

It's more of a FEELING, a rare occasion in which the two of us are equally entralled and SMITTEN with a person.

hmmn, I wonder if now is when I should elaborate on what the hell I'm talking about...

We were having some work done on our (MY) truck at some...

I REALLY need to spend some time updating my photos...
I had simply overlooked their existance and am coming to realise they represent a life that barely exists...

All shots are AT LEAST two years old.

I look waay better nearing forty than I did in my early thirties. I eat healthier, I exercise regularly and my attitude has adjusted imeasurably....

My goal for February...

It was really windy out here last night too. Thank goodness we still have a fence up!

The Wizard of Bras is in Monrovia at the 210fwy & the Myrtle exit. It's just (and i mean JUST) under the fwy, on the southeast corner. They get busy on Saturdays, but if you're there at 10 when they open, it's better. They are closed Sundays.

Good lordy....

WHEN?!

When did I become such a bore?

there was a time...not long ago when my wit and sharp mind could be easily conveyed with words that spilled forth from my lips onto the pages of my journals...

I could write a story...paint a picture in peoples minds...reaching through the monitor in such a way that people could almost HEAR my voice through...

busy as usual.

a bit disappointed, in November, when snow had begun to fall, the mister and I decided we wanted to take the miss to the mount ains, to learn to ski. we discussed Mammoth.

HOWEVER....we wanted to invite friends. their jobs and finances made mammoth not such a good idea. then I got the job at Home Depot..which solidified the decision to make...

I'm trying to decorate...outside and inside. this year, it appears that OVER HALF of my lights have taken a dump.. I've checked the bulbs, twisted them a different direction...nothing.

6 STRANDS! trashed.

We also bought a bigger tree this year. I searched and searched for a 9ft artificial noble. SOLD out...the ENTIRE state of california costcos are plumb out of e'em. so I caved, and...

I didn't mean to piss on your parade, to use the favorite expression at my new job. Holiday lights are pure crap for quality. But for $2 per string of 100 at Target, I am OK with replacing half each year. This year I spent about $35 on new lights because we're in a new house with new places to light.

When I did the Aquarium's holidaay displays, we chucked em all each year because new lights are cheaper than the payroll time to coil them up neatly or untangle them next year. Plus, if a string croaked during a catered holiday party (one of the aquarium's main revenue sources is renting itself out for evening parties), the customers would be ticked.

I used to get a kick out of the fact that it was all the Jews at the aquarium who had to stay late to put up & decorate the Christmas tree. One year it really was just six Jews working to eight at night, and we were all six of the Jews in a staff of 100 employees.
wyatt:
Two of us were the members of the Exhibits Dept who don't work a 6AM-3PM shift, two were artsy people who love to decorate anything and everything, one was the type who just pitches in whenever anyone has to work late, and one was a friend of one of the artsies. We decorated the tree in all white lights and silver sea turtles.

It sounds like your holiday lights might be the reason to buy rechargeable batteries finally. Rechargeables don't last quite as long, so you'll get to hear drunken santa more often wink

I'm getting nervous...

I'm performing on Sunday. I'm leading for most of the dance.

I'm thinking it will be quite funny...I get to lead, screw up...and everyone is supposed to do as I do.

oh shit!

I think I'm gonna love my job.

I'm good! I know my stuff better than I thought. It feels good to have a job again.

Thanksgiving weekend in a nutshell....

TG day, mister announced "surprise"...he bought a rail for our desert trip

oddly, this did not tickle me, I love surprises...however, purchasing sandrail is more a "shocker" than a surprise

Dinner turned out yummy, leftovers were tasty too. I have my share of talents and not talents, thankfully for those in my life, cooking is one of my talents. I'm...
