So traffic court was okay. There were some creepy people there that made me feel as though my stupid speeding ticket was hardly offensive at all. Lots of really terrible things that I couldn't even imagine doing.
They reduced the ticket, fine and points. I'd have preferred no points but I guess something is better than nothing.
Once that was over I had to drive the 2 plus hours home in the pouring rain. That sucked the big one.
I'd have appreciated the extra day off if I had done something enjoyable. Unfortunately the mandatory time off couldn't have come at a worse time.
This week at work has been pretty hellish. I've been caught between my two bosses, each with a project due this Friday, and my coworker (who's responsible for one of the projects) is on vacation all week.
Like King Solomon's kid they've done everything but tear me in half each struggling to get his own project done first.
It's a pretty bad position to be in.
I left this afternoon with my head spinning with stress and frustration while they continued to duke it out. I received a call around 7 to let me know one of the projects can be submitted next month.
Talk about a sigh of relief.
Over the weekend I took both cats to the vet at the same time. I don't know what possessed me to try that, as it turned out to be exhausting as well as expensive due to twice the amount of poking and prodding. It was time for both of their yearly check ups and I was concerned Allie needed an adjustment to her meds because she's picked up a rather annoying habit of yowling and howling all hours of the night.
The kitties group suggested it was hyperthyroid condition before I even mentioned she had it, so I assumed the vet would fix everything.
Turns out both cats are perfectly fine. Blood and kidney levels all perfect. So Allie is either senile at 17 or she's driving me nuts for kicks.
