well, yesterday i decided to be an idiot and put 240v at 13 amps through my body 
. well, not on purpose, obviously. i was trying to get a light shade of one of my dad's light as he couldn't do it due to it being stuck on there like glue. so there i was, standing on a METAL ladder, trying to unscrew the bottom bit of the light when i decided, i'll unscrew the top fitting of first so i can get a better grip. hmm, live wires live under the top fitting 
. why oh why didn't i get my dad to turn the electrics off.
so yes, i got quite a bit of a shock. but hey, my heart didn't explode and i wasn't zapped to hell luckily. but my thumb does fell weird still.
next time i'll walk around with a large metal pole in this sort of weather
