Just finished my vacation, I did a photoshoot on Friday, drove to New Orleans for the night, and shopped on Saturday. Thursday I went fishing/crabbing. The rest of the week was laid back with the exception of Friday night. We drank until 10 am Saturday, and I slept most of the day Saturday and Sunday. More later, I don't feel much like typing.

Television: Marquee Moon.
i recently re-bought this album and had forgotten how good it was. i think i appreciate it more now that i'm older, and have read a lot about the New York proto-punk/punk scene. a fucking brilliant album. the re-release is nicely packaged, too, and has good liner notes. i am a liner notes junkie.
The Killers: Hot Fuss
you can start laughing... now. this is music for 13-year olds and other people who have no recollection of the 80's. really. a guilty pleasure, no doubt, but i think i'd enjoy it a lot more if i fit into the aforementioned category. i just can't shake the feeling that i've heard it before... it's not going to blow your mind, but it's entertaining, at least.
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds: Let Love In
my favorite Cave record, and an example of a near-perfect start to finish album. released in '96, when the he has evolved away from the "Birthday Party" stuff, but before he gets too polished and orchestrated. this one gets the "fucking brilliant" seal of approval as well.
