I am finally begining to enjoy this site for more than the reason I joined (boobies). I have to admit, I always thought the idea of online communities was absurd, but I have found some interesting folks in the groups. I like the argumentative nature of the Philosophy group, the comradship of the Socialism-Marxism group, and the general candor in the sexually oriented groups.
I still haven't been able to reconcile the act of objectification of women, and my feminist tendencies. I probably never will. Somehow the argument that this is empowering for women just doesn't jibe for me. I always assume that the belief is in bad faith, or is more akin to alienation, than authenticity. To each her own, however.
That hasn't ever stopped me from objectifying women; I am constantly guilty of the male gaze, and frankly enjoy it. Women rock.
Here's to boobies, gazongas, and IBTs.
I still have nothing to share personally, other than that I am relatively comfortable with my discomfort, and that I am self conscious about my spelling.
This is the most I have journaled in years. I have always been more likely to write about the outside than the inside; about life rather than "life."
