So my friend the howling wind is back. That inside of a dishwasher sound has been going for a few days now. I know why it drives folks in wyoming nuts. I wont rant too much but I can say that this year has been the worst in the last 9.
Every once and a while is ok. It gives you the "hey I am on top of mt everest in a nice house feeling.
If I did not have the studio tweaked the way I wanted and the housing market did not suck I think I would look at other places to go. Maybe Oregon, Maybe Chesapeake (sp) Bay. I have 50 acres of land in Upstate NY, but I would like to save that. And I would run into the snow situation too.
Dunno, feeling a bit footless as they say. I may have to call off the NZ trip due to the folks I am staying with are in a marital moment and may not be together so no cool place on blanket bay if they do split up. Might just go to Thailand and work on my friends boat for a few weeks in the sun. Might help.
I got like this when I left Seattle in 2000. It was time to go. I am feeling that now, might be the economy, might just be the circle of friends is getting smaller or opportunities drying up as far as the mastering market. I know the DC Area is needing a good studio, A nice joint on the bay might be good for both nerves and my missing a body of water. Here at 9450 feet it is a bit dry.
And the goddamn wind. I wish I could hop on it and go see a pretty girl in Richmond........
