Tonight is Mark Hummel's harmonica Blowoff in Denver, Kim Wilson will be there. That makes me happy. Staying on the sober train too. So I can enjoy it more and not be a boob around the Harp gods.
Also I am making the world famous spaghetti sauce today, takes most of the day. At least 5 hours. So I have that to stir and add to. I got the sauce notes from a friend whose mom owns an Italian Joint in NYC. I have tried it on pizza and it is incredible. Actually someone wanted to use for a pizza recipe years ago and I said no.
Sunday is Charlie Parr, Staying sober for that too. I heard some songs from the loyal bastards show and I dont sound that hot. I was well into my sailor jerry and ginger ales by then. Not good. So I am close to my swearing off of brown booze time of the year. I am good and stick to it for at least 6 months. Last year I gave away 4 bottles of jameson, 2 bottles of sailor jerry, 2 bottles of bulliet burbon. I have a well stocked bar for visitors. So the giving will begin very soon. This year is a bit less but I will keep my expensive burbon 75$ bottle just in case of visitors. Which is rare up here in the sticks.
Looks like I have to change the trip dates too, I got booked for the first week in November to work in Austin. I think I can go back and not worry too much about seeing crazy girl. I will be working at a studio not affiliated with her Dad.
So maybe December when it quiets down. I can stay longer and maybe go and see Kat and Andy in Glasgoo too.
