Greetings from austin, swung through to see some friends and mosey on to NOLA for the big hoot. Lots of good players this year made more impassioned by the hurricane. I am hoping to hear alot of bush bashing, maybe not so much on stage but in the trenches. I was told to bring some waders, but may have to settle for shrimping boots- Doulac Reeboks for the NOLA crowd.
Thanks for all the offers of places to stay, I am covered there. I have family in mandeville that did not get hit too hard and I'll stay at their place.
My house sold too! Yeah Hoo......Now I just have to decide where to go and what to do, I got a good think in on the way down.........I can
1. Move to Austin and go into business down there, might be too crowded for the Mastering Scene there.
2. Move to NY- invest in the bar and do my mastering in Ithaca. Closer to family and the drama it ensues. I will have to someday.....
3. Move back to Seattle- This is the choice I really thought hard on, lots of old ghosts, but the kind of freaky people I enjoy.
4. Throw the stuff in storage, hit the road for the summer and decide when it is over. I have some decent offers on the table for sound and without the house to worry about could be alot easier on my nerves. Just work and worry about it later.
5. Take the Network Engineering job I was offered in Boulder, save up enough to accomplish the above and arrive in better financial shape.....
There are about 20 more choices, but shall not bore you. I know it is time to move on, the mountains have been good to me, but I definitely think living in the sticks has been a good time to heal and woodshed talent for the future........
Ok off for some mexican lettuce and then NOLA.....

They all sound good. Time will tell you will you want and need to be and nothing is written in stone.

I'd go to Austin, but I'm very biased. I miss Tejas. No matter what, it sounds like life is treating you well. Glad to hear it!
