this would be my official holiday entry, although I find writing in an online journal, wasteful of my time*ponders the thought* do people actually read these things?
I am actually in better spirits since last entry. the sting of getting my nikon stolen out of my car seems to be diluted by the persistent pressure of time.
although still in dismay at how quickly the years seems to pass by, I almost can't believe that December is here.
only a few weeks away now from the not-so-reality of holiday cheer. I mean seriously, are people really more cheerful and if so, why have the repercussions of working retail shown me otherwise?
I realized something this year, the inevitable that I knew was approaching for the past couple holiday seasons that have passed.
I really do not like christmas.
its true, I mean the whole stress of shopping in a mob of idiots, figuring out how I am going afford presents for all my family and friends*knowing that half do not even take the time to send me a card*irrelevant I know, can really overwhelm people.
right, the season is about giving not getting, but come on...we can only give so much until we have set ourselves back on our own responsibilities and it usually takes a few weeks for people to get back on track.
although I am thankful for many things this year, like the fact that I no longer work retail...especially during the holidays and I am thankful for my family, friends and health.
maybe with the possibility of acquiring a new nikon d200 for christmas my spirit can find comfort in the approaching new year.
otherwise....bahhumbug
