How fuckin' hot has it been this weekend, I'm having to drink twice as much beer just to keep my self hydrated.
I got out to a couple of shows during the week, which was much fun. I had to venture out on my own though as I still don't really know anyone here, but you can enjoy good music without friends, right? The live music scene in Birmingham seems to be proper buzzin', I could probably find someone to go and see at least every other night. I 'm used to being limited to Fri/Sat, if you're lucky. I've got Vanilla Pod, Shane MacGowan and Finch coming up next month, all within the same week and I've just ordered tickets for the VANS Antidote Tour in November, Millencolin, Flogging Molly, Randy and The Unseen all on the same bill.
I've start picking up my bass again, after years of neglect, and I'm really getting into it. I'm a bit rusty and I'll need a few weeks practice but I might start thinking about getting into a band. I've been in a couple before but they never really went anywhere, and I've kinda got this ambition to play at least one live show someday.
In other news, I found out this week, from a third party, that two of my flat mates (I use the word mates loosely) actively hate me. It actually made me laugh, I mean I wasn't really surprised, or particularly bothered, but I always find it funny how people can be nice to your face and then continually slag you off behind your back. I don't know about anyone else, but if I don't like someone I try my best to have as little to do with them as possible. I'm sure the reason for their feelings towards me has something to do with me constantly picking them up on their inadequacies, I can image it's really annoying when somebody else highlights what you're doing/saying is wrong and deep inside you know they're right.
I'm so the black sheep in our house, but I like it that way.

Fight the good fight. Fuck this petty Skrewdriver bit. I've heard it enough times it makes me sick. If you don't like me don't talk to me. Problem solved. Now have a good weekend.
You need to wise up because you think power lies in words and not in action. It proves to me that you're all talk and I don't even fuckin' need to meet you to know that. I instantly lost respect for you the moment you hunted ME down and opened your yap about MY musical preferences. Did you not listen to one single thing I said? You act like my fuckin' ex girlfriend picking things apart and only responding to the one or two things you can make psuedo-comebacks for.. totally ignoring my ACTUAL point.
Just so you know, since it happens to be such a big deal to you.. I have never purchased anything in my life to support any kind of Nazi bullshit. I've burned and borrowed all the RAC I own and that's how it will stay. I disagree with every single racist song I've ever heard. The difference between me and you is the fact that you have to believe in the music you're listening to. What the hell? It's fuckin sound bytes.. useless little things we use to fill up time in our lives. I don't care what they sing about, or any other band. I don't HAVE to get behind the lyrics to enjoy what is actually very good, catchy, music. When you let politics infect skinhead, you may as well grow your fuckin hair out.
You remind me a little bit of a friend of mine, on here, that I still consider a very cool person even though I haven't talked which him in several months. He runs a pretty popular community, and was a member of my Oi - Reggae community when I was still maintaining it. The different between him and you is that we agreed to disagree on the importance of lyrics. I'm openly against racism. He knows that. There's a mutal respect and we like each other just fine. You on the other hand get up on a pedastal and contact me out the blue just to spit some stupid little comment my way.. and if you think I'm just going to ignore it.. you are dead wrong. You didn't just say fuck Skrewdriver. I could give a shit what you think about them or me.. but I will NOT have somebody telling me I have issues and questioning my fuckin' integrity when you don't know the FIRST fucking thing about my life, friends, ideals, and morals. I've done more to help people than most.. so don't you dare point your finger at me. Save your bullshit for a real enemy, take your head out of your ass, and grow up.
If you wanna be a big man about this, then I suggest you shut your trap and don't ever contact me again. Trust me, a fight ain't what I'm looking for either. I'm just not one to sit by while some elitist skin from halfway across the globe talks shit. You aren't better than me. You're different than me. Deal with it. I've said my peace.
