BLUE IS THE COLOUR, FOOTBALL IS THE GAME.
WE'RE ALL TOGTHER AND CHELSEA IS OUR NAME!
Thanks for all the Happy Birthday messages, your all wonderful. Yesterday was the best Birthday I can remember for a long time. It's the first one I've been able to go out and celebrate on the actual day, since I've been old enough to go out drinking. Although getting up to go to work this morning, after only 3 hours sleep, wasn't so much fun, I'm sure work is designed for the express purpose of fucking up your life. Luckly there was a TV in the office so I could witness the fabulous boys in blue lift the Carling Cup.
It seems I'm not the only one who's getting seriously fucked off with work. Most of my working friends seem to be having a hard time of it. One very good friend in particular told me on Friday that he's been thinking about quiting his job as a Postman, which he's been doing for 14 years. He then told me he's been thinking about becoming self-employed. This I wasn't expecting. He's one of my best friends and we share many views on life in general. So I was quite shocked when he informed me he wants to become part of the "Capitalist Machine".
The way I see it is this. To live and survive, you need money. to get money, you need to work. When you work for somebody, you basically just sell them your labour for an amount of money that you think is fair and will allow you to live to a standard of your choosing. To become self-employed would mean that to get money, you must sell either your labour or some form of material goods. But the difference is, this time your doing it for PROFIT. Because it's the PROFIT that you live off. Therefore you must make as much PROFIT as you can, for the smallest outlay. Which to me, sounds like pure Capitalism.
He didn't agree with me though.
Anyway, if anyone fancies doing something different this Easter holidays, you should think about taking a trip to Berlin for the weekend. On Good Friday is the "Where The Bad Boys Rock" tour with "Mad Sin", "U.S. Bombs", "Deadline", "The Generators", "District" And "The Deep Eynde". It should be a really good show and you get to spend the weekend in a really cool country with loads of top people, including me.
So, if there's anybody spontanious enough to take me up on it, give me a shout and I'll try and sort you out as much as I can.
One last thing. Is there any Fucked up Emo kids out there with a passion for "Billy Talent"? I just can't stop listening to there CD. It's getting unhealthy.
