I miss thunderstorms.
Darkening skies.
Wind howling through the trees of Illinois.
The scent of rain...overwhelming with every breath.
The way it makes me feel vulnerable. Loud crashing thunder.
Lighting.
Power outages.
Candles.
No TV.
Mother nature sitting me down and having a one on one with me...no distractions.

The thunder woke me up last night. I was in such a great sleep and then THUNDER! I love thunder...and lightning. It made me happy...for a minute (and when I write minute, I mean the traditional meaning of the word minute...not the euphemism the word has become...meaning a very long long time). Thunder. Then the car alarms went off. Not fond of car alarms. We live next to this cat who's alarm is so sensitive that if you drive by the car...the thing goes off.

I like the rain, though. And the thunder. And the lightning. A rare thing for Los Angeles, but greatly appreciated.

Stay crisp in milk.
