MOTHERFUCKER, GRRRRRRR!!!!!
So, yesterday sucked! Wanna know why? Too bad, I'm telling you anyway.
I pull some strings to take off from work to get my settlement check from my insurance company and go to an auction to get a new (replacement) car. First of all, when I go to pick up the check, I found out they already removed my car from thier lot the day before! I had my golf clubs, snowboard boots, and some other miscellaneous crap in my car that I had yet to retrieve! Come to find out the place is in a suburb of DC!!! They told me they'd mail the stuff to me, but FUCK THAT! I figured I'd wait till my next day off to go get the stuff, but I went to the bank and those bastards wouldn't cash my check! It was only like $4000, and the auction place would only take cash or certified check...
.
So, off to DC I go to get my stuff out of the car. Might as well make the most of a day off from work right? WRONG! The ride there was ok, my girlfriend and I had a good time, but that's about all that was good. When I opened my trunk, much to my dismay, there's one of my drivers lying there broken and no golf clubs!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At least they didn't take my snowboard boots and all the other junk. They also took my cell phone charger, but whatever. I go to make a complaint and the guy at the counter told me to take it up with the body shop it was being held at before they got it. What the fuck?! I also was not able to get my tag off the car because the freakin' bolts were stuck and the screwdriver stripped the groove in the bolts....uuggghhh. On top of that, it started raining, and continued to do so the whole time I was there, and stopped after I left the salvage yard. Prophetic huh?
It doesn't stop there...... On the way home, I almost got into an accident in the rental car I've had since my car was put in the shop. Is it just me, or does anyone else notcie that the majority of Maryland drivers are anything but? The highway was filled with all kinds of non-driving assholes!
(If you are from MD and this statement does not pertain to you, do not take offense...sorry for the generalization.) During the drive, I call information to get the number to the county police in case I have to get them involved. I also call my insurance adjustor to see if they will pay for the loss of my clubs, but I get the voicemail and no callback. To top it all off, I have to come in to work on my normal day off at 6am...
. So, here I sit at my desk typing this journal entry half-asleep and wondering what today will bring............ Fuck, I need some coffee. When's my first break???
