Okay. You saw the video I'm assuming. Your syrup is in the fridge.
Collect an orange, fresh mint, and bourbon. Now which bourbon you choose is up to you. I myself prefer makers 46 or private selections. Classic also works. Or you can always use four roses, Woodford reserve or anything that is a true bourbon. No whiskey please. Kentucky is better.
Take a tall cocktail glass, drop in a sprig of mint and cut a Orange wedge. Squeeze the juice into the glass and muddle. I use the back of the knife.
Fill 3/4 of the way with crushed ice. Honestly this is optional you can do on the rocks if this drives you crazy. I kinda like on the rocks better but crushed is traditional.
Now pour in 2 shots of your bourbon. And 1.5 shots of the mint syrup. If you don't like a stronger drink make it 2. You may have some room at the top of your glass. Fill with water. Stir really really good.
Garnish with more mint. These are the best. I swear I make the best. Otherwise I wouldn't have shared.
Happy Father's day!
