Yesterday was quite interesting. The first thing that happens when I get through the door at work is I am handed the phone and told it's one of the divisional owners and that our work computer is broken.
It was thankfully Dave, who is a partial owner and an overall district manager for my area and about the coolest guy on Earth for somebody in such a high up spot.
Apparently some people at the office heard that I fixed our computer last time it was down, so Dave called to see if I thought I could fix it if he talked me through it over the phone.
It wasn't really even a big deal this time, the touch screen card apparently went to shit, which has happened to some of the other stores too, and it's a matter of just opening the tower and pulling it out.
I don't see why the other people I work with are so afraid to attempt to do anything like that, even when the powers above tell us to do it.
So yeah, we're without touch screen now though for awhile, which I didn't think was a big deal until I realized how much I actually used it at work in the course of a day. I swear I touched the screen yesterday a few hundred times and went "oh yeah..." or "duh.."
The best part of yesterday was the fact that not only did we get a huge shipment of items in that I got to put away, but my manager left me a list of shit she wanted to do, which was mostly a list of things she didn't bother to do in the past day and a half.
I thought when I told her that I no longer had an interest in a assistant manager position, due to the fact how much the company was dicking me around putting it off, that she'd get the hint that I'm not doing her extra bullshit work for the same wage I get now.
At least I have a few days off this weekend for when my friend from Illinois comes to visit.
Tomorrow night we are doing the video game night here at my place, too and that should have a decent turn out.
I wish more of you that I talk to a lot lived closer to me so you could come, it's going to be fun.
Anyways, hope none of you are working too hard with not enough praise and compensation, although I'm sure you are.
Have a good weekend and do something really fun with somebody you really care about.

Not a prob, man! Thanks for inviting me over. Was more fun than I've had in a while (sad, eh? ).

Hey, don't worry about missing the show. I hope Sarah's feeling better. I'll have to keep you two posted, I'm probably having a birthday party on either the 12th or the 19th or 20th. I dig the new picture.
