Sooooooooooooooooooo,

i'm supposed to be going to bed earlier than each day of the past month....ooops. besides, there's no class until noon tomorrow.

settin' up the busy stand in the next few weeks. why do i have a feeling 17 credits in 8 weeks will be a bit stretchy? i need a bass player (committed + trained), an oil change, and food/money. the responsible voice in...

17 credits in 8 weeks boggles the mind. Why put yourself through that?

it's no wonder that i haven't felt that sunny lately when i sleep through most of the day. monday will be a welcome lengthy awakeness, shucking away the slippers i've been wearing on my brain. i hear need curdling in voices beneath my own breath, tucked in to bedclothes for my own good. organs and rattles are brimming with disdain, humming single sounds; a pointed...

Well, don't credit me with any sort of motivation just yet. I still have a chance to hit up law school the first day of classes and run screaming right back out the doors again. And anyone who told you that Grinnellians were either 1) upstanding or 2) not lollygaggers was a liar. tongue

By the way, I love how you've described that feeling. So eloquent.

Hope you're feeling better soon, though. How's school? smile

So, were you in Iowa last fall, then? Like, in early November, on that night when all those tornadoes ripped through the state and hit a bunch of towns like Woodward and Stratford, and possibly made it into Ames (I believe--I think there was a big football game at Iowa State that night, because I remember everyone talking about how lucky it was that no storms hit the stadium)?

'Cuz this guy was definitely there.

Kind of interesting. smile

I've cast.

Broken spells leave me wide open. There are so many; though, not overwhelmingly so, anymore. Space spreads me awake, tying 'who's knots in the roundabout rope. I'm glad to see this time in time, today. Friends, fiends, and knowingly ambivalent carpenters remain giddy in my pulse. Beat, beat, beat -- the mission.

wasn't i supposed to make some rent money this month? Gawd,...

Sold. I was obsessed with the Wizard of Oz as a child; I can't believe the ruby slipper idea didn't occur to me. smile

I don't think I've ever mentioned neuroscience on this site. Someone has expert snooping skills!

I've been told that the whole science/music connection is not as uncommon as you'd think. Apparently there's at least one college that offers a special engineering/music double major program. Obviously, you don't have to like both, though. The one day we spent on sound theory in my Music class, I think I was the only one who nerded out. :cough:

I haven't written/recorded much of anything. One or two writings, really. Most of what comes to me is just singing or late at night when I ought to be sleeping, and I really don't have the skill/equipment to record something fast enough before I forget it.

So what's your art?

i had to post in order to have somewhere to say: have you seen the advertisement above that states "Be a Writer. Be Happy"? and what the Fuck is that supposed to mean? damned words.
jubalharshaw:
It was last weekend I went to Iowa; Davenport was the destination. Decent trip. Figure I'll probably go for biochemistry, if not something closer to neuroscience.

Collections anyone?

I'll send the baked goods. Ummmy.

The way she plays that guitar is a-fuckin-mazing. biggrin

And getting out of bed is all kinds of overrated, in my opinion. wink

Oooh, have fun! Where in Iowa? I was thinking of going there this weekend, but I likely will not be.

four evers and seven pills ago, i used to write upon this site, citing the playful word games of my life folly. hmmm.... myspace has definitely taken up much more time.

to catch up: school is still the main occupier, three quarters deep. music everyday: writing, studio performing, recording, practicing, screaming... i'm sure the other musiholics can concur with the total immersion. it's stuck in...
