Holy fuck, I was so excited when I saw the email from SuicideGirls in my inbox today, I can't believe they accepted me so quickly! I didn't even sleep all night because I've been up on the computer, reading posts and critiques on the Hopefuls group, trying to get good ideas for my first set. So, from what I gather, I should avoid just laying in a bed cause it's been done so many times before, and I need to be sure to have some variation in my poses and facial expressions. Oh, and the set needs to be not boring but also not take away from me. I have this awesome goth bedroom I'm gonna shoot in, all blood red and black with fabric on the ceiling. Sounds cliche and it is, but I think it really will make for a cool set if I can be creative with it. I live in this huge old creepy haunted-looking house, I think I might just go with that sort of theme. I've got a creepy old wheelchair and a basement that looks like the set for a Manson video.




Plus, I think I'm pretty allright at Photoshopping people as ghosts... What do you think? Like I said, I know the cliche goth bullshit has been done many times before, but I think maybe there's still some life left in it, if it's done creatively enough...

One thing I'm really nervous about with my first set is what everyone worries about: just being naked in front of a camera, and getting negative feedback. I hate my boobs, for one thing, but I know I need to be confident in my pics or I'll never be a SG. Wish me luck!
