let's try a sonnet;



Automotive Entropy



A swarming, russet legion joins to flake

away these twisted fenders once robust.

Still now; the chirping pads of dying brake,

the heated shrill of bearings filled with dust.

No longer will my cranky starter scream

against a rusting ring of rounded teeth.

Bouquets of nascent vinyl, elbowed gleam,

and tuned exhaust are faint as tracks beneath

these crooked, sadly flattened wheels of mine.

Neglect's slow jaws had gnawed my myriad parts

before hydraulics blew a rotted line,

and simple steering changed from skill to art.

Though time has caused my painted pride to yield,

a sudden man removed my glassy shield.
