Road Trip
I am finally making my long awaited move from NH to NC. My new job is in NC. I am moving down ahead of my wifewhile we wait for our house to sell in NH. Though well miss each other terribly were excited about this life change. We are on a road trip to find an apartment and setup our new home base.
I write this in Richmond Va. We left NH yesterday (fri aft) to begin my southern move. Driving route 95 by Boston we saw several caravans of Mass State Troopersblues flashing heading into Boston. We didn't learn until later that they were attempting to lock down the remaining marathon bomber.
The bombing is surreal to us. We've walked along Boylston Street in Boston for years. Our daughter works on Boylston frequently.
Day 2 of the road trip we took back roads through Penn, Maryland and Virginia. . The back roads are slow, but the only way to fully grasp the beauty of the countryside. The green rolling hills of this farm and horse country are magnificent. Everything down here is in full bloom (NH trees are still bare).
Amish country in Penn is really stunning. Wide open spaces of beautiful green farms as far as the eye can seeisolated farm houses, barns, silos and a variety of livestock grazing in the fields.
Andheaded into the local town were many of these
