I cross train for derby using the PX 90 and the Insanity dvd's. Its like circuit training with cardio and plyometrics.
I don;t have time or money for a gym, taking care of my kids all day, but these were cheap and needed no equipment or dues .
They are hard, the Insanity ones especially, I just find I need to improve my endurance, recovery time and strength in my back and core...they have really helped. I also do hardcore derby practices 2-3 times per week, and then skate on my own for another few hours a week skating at Open skate night or outdoors with my kids, skating behind them as they bike ride.
