after a weekend of a rehersal dinner, a wedding, after party, and the next morning bunch...
i am tired.
but more so on my mind is that many restaurants, cooks and people need to be taught that
vegan DOES NOT equal giant pile of underseasoned greased pasta
being a vegetarian or a vegan does not make me swear off spices or flavor. i mean, really... salt and pepper? the basis of all taste? you couldnt throw a little of that on there? im not asking you to have a masterfully crafted three star vegan dish you can whip out every couple months or so when a poor little vegan finds their way into your place, really im just asking that my food not be a bland pile of unsalted pasta in a quater inch of butter. and btw, butter isnt vegan either. pasta and roasted veggies tossed with a good olive oil, salt, pepper, fresh garlic - that can be delicious and easy - if you care to make it that way. i am pretty sure you have all of these ingredients in your italian restaurant, next time could you possibly try?
otherwise the weekend was lovely and i am glad it is over.

They think it's going to be a treat for everyone and then you end up at a steakhouse with nothing but a baked potato with ketchup.
yuck.
