ive been so neglecting my little bloglette here.
life hasn't exactly been boring, either.
few weeks ago i went and saw the yard dogs road show which i am comepletly in love with. this was my third time seeing the show because they do not visit this coast nearly as much as i would like. i was loopy at the prospect of actually getting out to see them because this is the first show, party, date, or anything
that i have actually wanted to go to that fit into my too crammed at the momen schedule.
about a week later i saw two friends off into the land of marriage. this was the easiest bridesmaid job ive ever seen. no prewedding jumping through hoops and by the time i attended to the bride on the wedding day she was happily doped up on xanax to shut off all the ocd, neurotic and controlling behavior and leave her stress somewhere in a back haze.
this last weekend i worked the breeders cup. i was put in the clubhouse at the glass, fifty feet from the finish line. at could watch all the races close up, considering tickets to get there were a hundred bucks, and i was making twice that in wages a day- before tip s- not a all a bad deal. im sure i would have been cashing in much more if the weather had not been completey terrible for at least 75% of the races on both friday and satruday.
i was working with a girl i know. she was on the watch for celeberties. had read all the papers and had a mental checklist of who she thought was going to be there. she was craning to catch a glimpse of oprha, scurrying around to find torre and david beckmen. i pretty much laughed her off and her taste for the high life of rubbing elbows with the pretty people.
then i turned around and saw a celebertiy i actually appreciated.
as i swing on my heels i see this guy in a striped blue shirt. it was bobby flay. yay!
while i am not a huge fangeek of him i did like seeing someone id actually care to meet there. i tired to run after him but by the time i was free from work he was around the corner.
tommorow is the opening of my haunted cemetery courtyard. ive been looking forward to this for the last year. everything is starting to come together, though i do have a full day of coffin building and tombstone erecting to do in the morning.
oh, and fucking scott baio gave me pink eye bobby flay
