Ok, I feel really silly for not making it out to meet the SGDC folks last night. I meant to go, but then things just went all wrong. Hopefully something else will be planned soon. frown

Ladytron at 9:30 Club? who do they sound like?

Caught your Morcheeba posting for Washington. Any chance of a quick review? They're hitting Toronto and I was curious as to how they are live. Thanks in advance if you get to see them.

For having no job, I sure have too little free time. Not sure how I'm going to juggle everything once I am actually employed again. eeek
_v_:
i feel you. i was out of work - on hiatus for nine months and i still didn't get all the things i needed to get done. then i came up with all of these projects when i was working and had no time. ugh

Moving at the speed of red tape!

Which is to say, barely moving at all...

So much damn waiting!

I feel like my life has just been on hold for the past couple months, waiting to see how things turn out before I can take any action at all. I'd hoped the waiting game would be over by now, but still it continues. <sigh> Soon....

hey, read a couple of your past journals....gifts are overrated, especially christmas gifts because you "have" to give them....All my friends have moved away in the last 6 months too, im left with work friends. blah.

I'm not sure what tactics of Michael you were refering to, but I think he would get more done if he was more serious. The crime fighting chicken is funny but it doesn't get much accomplished. (from his tv show)
Speaking of thinking...Are you going to the anti war march on the 18th in DC?
yumchen:
What's wierd is when after the wait you finally have an asnswer and don't know what to do with it. Well that's the way it works on me anyway. Anyway happy new years!

Read my post -- http://suicidegirls.com/boards/Hook-Up/8646/ -- and tell me what you think there.

I'll freely admit I'd like to meet other SG members in my area. All my friends who lived here in DC have moved away in the last 6 months except for 2 friends. Now they are 2 really good friends, and I enjoy doing stuff with them, but sometimes it's fun to...

Christmas was.

Well, I mean, I guess it was good enough, in fact, probably the best Christmas in the last few years anyway. Now that it's over though, it doesn't seem like it was that big a deal.

Perhaps the reality just can't live up to the marketting hype.

Have I mentioned that I'm a big dork for putting off my Xmas shopping until this weekend? Although I went to the mall to try to pick up a couple last things this morning, and at 9:30 when I got there, it was pretty darn dead still. Guess people just weren't rushing into the mall when it opened at 8 am. It was funny too...

Sometimes, life has a real way of kicking you when you're down.

And other times, just when you're about to give up, things miraculously turn around.

Lots of the former going on this past month, but finally now the latter. My days as a professional slacker may soon be coming to an end. It will be good to have money again. Oh yeah, and to...

So I was listening to the Epoxies' song "We're So Small" yesterday, and as I listened closely to the lyrics, I realized that just a week or two ago, they would have sounded amusingly retro with their themes of nuclear holocaust. However, when you read about dubya's threats to go noo-q-ler, it seems a lot more real.

Are we officially back in the 80s...

Whoo hoo! Glad someone agrees about the overdone wing thing. Damn. Enough already!

Sheesh, I bet we are back in the 80s. Forgive me if you've already seen this link, but I thought you'd get a kick out of it: http://www.mnftiu.cc/mnftiu.cc/war14.html

Hadn't seen that page, fuzzybunny, though I have seen that comic before. Too funny.

It seems so limiting to only be able to have 3 favorite girls. Maybe I'm just being too fickle, but I swear, several of the last few sets of new girls make me want to make them my favorites right away. Especially the one of Quinne, she is super cute and super sexy. Ah well. Maybe I'll try to pick 2 established girls with lots...

Ok, so I knew the Epoxies were cool from the moment I first saw their web site and heard 30-second clips of their tunes, but I saw them Friday night here in DC, and I have to say, they kick ass! Now I have even more reasons to be jealous of all the folks in Portland... not only is SGHQ local, but so are The...
