I have that same feeling all the time. I think I should tattoo "stop it" to the back of my hand, so I'm constantly reminded.
I hope you come to the dinner on Saturday. It would be really nice to meet more girls who have similar interests, or at least interests that I can respect/be interested in. As in hot naked chicks who aren't complete dumb-asses.

I'm really with internet/communication sometimes. I guess I'm even shy online.
