I would love to make a post about my fun trip to Drayton last weekend. I didn't know how it would end up as not a lot of people seemed interested and there has been... weirdness between the groups from the north and the south at previous such events...
Fortunately it ended up being a great little trip and, with the exception of my stomach going into riot mode at about 3am, I have no complaints... I wish construction teams would learn that they need to let drivers know when to stop driving on the left side of the road (meeting a train of 5 vehicles headfirst in a construction zone on a half finished road is dissettling) but I guess we can't have everything now can we.
In 3 weekends I am going to vegas. Fingers crossed... I hope it all works out fabulously. I am going to get to see one of the Cirque shows and so I shall be happy... so long as I can figure out a way to go the 4 days without losing my shirt and/or house. This is especially important as I don't own my house.
It is also especially important as the weekend after (or, according to my work schedule 3 days after) is the trip to PAX. It is getting close enough that I am starting to worry... especially since there's a "meeting" tonight that I don't get to go to (as I'm at Weird Al). Also curious about what is getting planned... I guess I'll find out upon my return.
Regardlesss.... August is going to be the month for vacation fun times and that should be fun regardless of what might come up along the way.
ps- The internet is stupid. Never go and read a facebook forum thread (for, say, the "save facebook" group) unless you want to be reminded of the obscene amounts of censorship and be filled with loathing at people who forget cover up statements don't work when everything you said previously is still visible. It kinda takes the wind out of your sails when you're going to write a blog post.
