I would love to update... but it seems like so much has been going on anything I say is out of date five minutes later.
I went to an interesting play with pearlygirl, which was... interesting. I still haven't paid for that... I feel so weird paying to go and watch a morality play. I will I'm sure because I'm easily guilted like that.
What to say about work... I continue to be doing just fine. I'm not setting the world on fire but I figure to be doing "quite well" at a job I really don't want to be doing isn't that bad a deal. On some of the days where I help neat, fun people who listen to me I even enjoy it.
Don't tell anyone I said that.
I've been coding more lately, which makes me happy. The adverse effects of runing a full time job and a half however make me sad. The notion of more than 7 hours of sleep seems almost like an impossible dream to me as I have pretty much every hour of the day scheduled from 6am until 10:30pm just to maintain the status quo. I'm not complaining per se as it ain't a bad life at all...
I just worry that all this is maybe contributing to the head cold I've had for the past month. It appears that while I talk more than my share with my friends around, my voice really appreciated not being required to talk to others for 8 hours of the day. Can you get disability for losing your voice? I should look into that.
In other news thanks again to danny_G, Michele and Tink for coming to the party last friday. It was awesome to hang out with you all in the lovely city of Edmonton.
BTW, Dan, the Smash Bros challenge still stands. I haven't given up yet.
Oh yes: quick movie reviews:
"Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" has a fabulous musical score and a very enjoyable story. Characters are well done although I was a little underwhelmed by your favorite batman and mine as the lead.
"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" was not a bad mindfuck of a movie (reminding me of Donnie Darko and Momento). The downside is such movies put me in a really weird mental space that I didn't snap out of until about halfway through Karaoke.
Next weeks goal? Find 2 songs at karaoke that are fast and fun and that I enjoy. It should be possible... almost did this week except I confused Greedy Fly and Everything Zen by Bush... one far slower than the other. Ah well.
